Amanda Mohlala, MPH (PHD c) Founder & Principal Consultant. A seasoned public health leader and Quality Management Systems (QMS) specialist with over two decades of experience in laboratory and health systems strengthening. She has led regional initiatives in South Africa, Zambia, and Mozambique, where she spearheaded the design and rollout of digital QA/QI platforms, e-learning systems, and laboratory efficiency models.
These solutions have been adopted by national Ministries of Health and were recognized by the World Health Organization in its 2024 Consolidated Guidelines on HIV Testing Services as a global case study of excellence.
Her leadership extends to portfolio and grant management, where she successfully secured and managed multimillion-rand donor-funded programs, including those supported by CDC, USAID, and the Global Fund. She has consistently demonstrated expertise in aligning programmatic investments with strategic objectives, ensuring financial accountability, and maintaining compliance with governance frameworks equivalent to PFMA standards.
Amanda has recently been appointed as an ambassador for the African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM). The role allows her to engage in advocacy and build stronger laboratory networks. Amanda’s contributions have positioned her as a thought leader in health innovation, with appointments to WHO and National Department of Health technical working groups where she influenced policy and guideline development for HIV testing and quality assurance frameworks.
She is also recognized for her ability to forge cross-sectoral partnerships, bridging government, donors, academia, and the private sector to drive sustainable health solutions. Her leadership in program quality improvement and Clinic–Lab Interface programmes has improved testing accuracy, certification, and data use across multiple countries.
